Generally, an ID card will be sufficient, nevertheless, depending on your destination and your residence a passport might be required. To be sure that you have all the documents needed when renting the car please review the Terms and Conditions (T&C) under the "Driver requirements" paragraph for any documents you will need to present at the rental desk

The main driver needs to present the following (all held in their own name):

  • An ID card/passport
  • A credit card with enough credit to cover the deposit for the car
  • Full driving license
  • Our voucher that you have received with the confirmation of the rental

NOTE: Some car rental companies might ask for any additional documents at the rental desk or would have some restrictions on the above mentioned documents. To be sure that you will have all the documents needed please review the Terms and Conditions (T&C) of your car.

Of course you can. If you haven't started your rental yet, you can change the dates via our customer page "My Booking" and amend your reservation. Any changes you make to your booking will probably change the total rental price.

Once you've picked your car up, please contact the Royal Umbrella directly if you want to extend your booking or please create a new reservation online for the rest of the days.

If you drop the car off later than arranged on your Voucher, the car hire company will charge you a late fee.

In case that you wish to drop the car off earlier than the confirmed pick up and drop off times, we will not refund any amount for the unused days; it is entirely up to the car rental company whether they decide to do so or not.

This is because we will have committed to the whole booking on your behalf, and Royal Umbrella Rent a Car will have been expecting the car to be used for the whole period. They will have planned their cars and parking needs around the original booking.

For any queries after your rental ends, please contact us via our customer service portal. If you decide to contact us via email please attach any relevant documents to your request
