1. 1. Car must have a valid Comprehensive Insurance (CH) Policy.
2. 2. Car Must be installed with a fully functional (Tracker, Alarm & Cut Off) N/B – We install Car Tracker, Alarm & Cut Off @ KSh.25, 000 One off Fee.
3. 3. Car must be very clean and well maintained. A/C Must be is working. Service & Maintenance will be done at the owner’s cost.
4. 4. Car must be worth Kenya Shillings 750,000 and above.
5. 5. Lessor (Car owner) will be required to provide the GPS tracker logins.
6. 6. Copy of logbook and their national identification card. If the vehicle is not installed with GPS tracker yet, the Lessor shall install a new GPS tracker and provide the credentials to Royal Umbrella Rent a Car.

Insurance

The Vehicles are in the possession or control of Lessee, lessor shall comply with the insurance requirements outlined in the Agreement. Including providing evidence of PSV self-drive insurance both prior to the transfer of Vehicles to lessee under the lease agreement and prior to the insurance policy expiration date.

Compliance

Your vehicle must be compliant with all traffic requirements (Traffic act 2010). The Kenya traffic acts require all rental cars to have PSV self-drive insurance.

Payment

You receive your payment on the 5th of every month.

How Do We Minimize Risks?

One thing that we take seriously at Royal Umbrella Rent a Car is the safety of our vehicles. To achieve this we ensure that we only give self-drive to 25 years and above. Holders of at least 3 years active driving license Proof of work and residence regularly monitor movement of vehicles both day and night. Advice our clients strictly follow Kenyan Road Safety Rules and do not exceed a speed limit of 110Km/hour.
